4 slices of sandwich bread
2 slices of ham
10 g butter
30 g grated Gruyere cheese
Grasp a slice of bread with one hand. Cover with a slice of ham folded in half. Place as much grated Gruyère cheese as you like on top. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with the second slice of bread. Prepare both slices of bread in this way.
In a frying pan, melt the butter without darkening. Break the eggs: they should be "flat". Cook to your liking, add salt and pepper.
Place the croques in the pan, let them brown gently on both sides and then place a hot fried egg on each one! Enjoy!
