Homemade chocolate eggs

Homemade chocolate eggs Food Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Milk, dark or white chocolate, melted
Candy melts (in any color of your choice), melted
Jelly beans (or any filling of your choice)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Fill the cavities of an egg-shaped chocolate mold with melted chocolate. Immediately flip the mold over and allow the excess chocolate to drip onto a sheet of parchment paper. Place the mold right side up and glide a knife over the surface of the mold to smooth the edges of the eggs. Place the mold in the freezer until the chocolate is fully set, about 20 minutes.

2) Spoon the melted candy melts into piping bags fitted with small, round tips. Unmold the eggs and place on a sheet of parchment paper. Drizzle some melted candy melts on top. Drizzle them in a quick motion for an abstract look or in a controlled motion for clean stripes. Return the eggs to the freezer for the chocolate to set.

3) Place some jelly beans into one half egg and spread some more melted chocolate around the rim of the egg. Place another half egg on top and gently press to seal the halves together. Return the eggs to the freezer for 5 minutes for the chocolate to set, and enjoy!
