Soya Chunks Curry Food Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

BASE :
2 cup soya chunks

MASALA PASTE :
2 tsp oil
1 medium sized onion – thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic
1 ginger
2 chopped tomatoes
8 whole cashews

OTHER INGREDIENTS :
3 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 cinnamon stick
1 medium sized onions – chopped
salt to taste
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 cup curd or fresh yogurt
1 cup water
1/4 tsp garam masala powder

HOW TO MAKE SOYA CHUNKS CURRY
Firstly, boil soya chunks for 8 minutes and transfer to a bowl of cold water.Allow to rest for 10 minutes and squeeze completely.

Heat oil in a pan over medium flame. Sauté onion, ginger, and garlic.Add tomatoes, cashews, and sauté well.

Let the mixture cool completely and blend to a smooth paste.

In another pan, heat oiland sautécumin seeds, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick.

Add finely chopped onions and let cook until golden brown. Add spice powders (chili, turmeric and coriander) and onion-tomato paste and stir to combine.

Season with salt and pour in water and curd.

Add squeezed soya and cook covered for ten minutes over a low flame.

Sprinkle garam masala. Stir to combine.
